Fuzzy Numbers in Group Opinion Aggregation and its Applications to a Quality Function Deployment Problem

This paper presents a method to derive the collective opinion of a group of members in which individual group members evaluate objects/events by assigning numerical scores. Triangular fuzzy numbers are used to represent the collective opinion of the group, and the construction of such fuzzy numbers is based on the numerical scores assigned by group members. The fuzzy number construction method is applied to a quality function deployment problem.
