Submillimetre Astronomy with the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope

摘要

The James Clerk Maxwell Telescope is the world''s largest dish designed specifically for use at Submillimetre wavelengths (0.3 - 3 mm). It is also, by any objective measure, the world''s most productive submillimetre observatory [1]. The telescope, the site, the instrumentation suite and the future scientific programme are presented in this paper.
