Modeling orbitofrontal involvement in decision making on a gambling task

Several models have reproduced the role of affect in decision making. Previous studies were based on opponent processing and another study developed a related non-neural model based on anticipated effect. One of the goals of our model is to map the predictive aspects of the DFT and of other descriptive decision models into brain processes. Our model involves opponent effects of the direct and indirect striatal pathways on thalamocortial interactions.
