The paper discusses the influence of the dielectric coating of envelopes upon the reliability of X-ray tubes. To improve the dielectric strength it is proposed to use the dielectrical covering of the envelope's interior side made of oxides of chrome, Zr, Si, B. The results of the serial X-ray tubes, having been tested with these coatings are presented.
