The manufacturing enterprise is the integration of the functions and activities required to make a product. It bridges from concept to end of life of a product and focuses on requirements related to the interactions among functional parts and ultimately their integration. The author considers the factors that managers in manufacturing must take into account: the electronic systems, technology roadmaps, information technology, and the dominant competitive advantage.
