摘要

Acoustic nonlinear parameter /spl beta/ is a new characterization parameter of material. Up to now, /spl beta/ is usually determined by measuring second harmonic amplitude using burst technique in progressive wave field. For thin samples, this method is not convenient. The solution of second harmonic, sum frequency and different frequency signals generated by nonlinearity in standing wave field for materials with and without loss are studied and the expression for calculating /spl beta/ is obtained. Finally, the method of measuring /spl beta/ in standing wave field is suggested.
