1. Since the introduction of the LISMAR COMBI inspection system there was, except for the one operator failure, no roll spalling in the mill, because the defects were detected before the rolls came into operation in the mill. 2. Fire cracks in high chromium rolls in the finishing stand are left in the roll surface up to a certain level 3. No roll defect in ICDP rolls due to the early warning of cracks and developing crack areas 4. Reduced unscheduled roll changes and consequent loss of production time 5. Optimized grinding times due to grinding to thresholds (reduction 10%) 6. Stable stock removals especially for backup rolls because there are no more cracks developing in the following roll campaigns.
