BUSINESS DRIVEN PROJECT CONTROL – DOES QUALITY MATTER?

The paper introduces an index for describing the product quality, the Quality Performance Index QPI, with a format equivalent to the well-known indices for cost performance and schedule performance, the CPI and SPI widely used for professional project management and control. The presence of a project performance dashboard shows the three performance variables CPI, QPI and SPI included. The inclusion of the QPI makes it better to achieve a totality perspective on the actual project performance, not limited to focusing on the progress on cost and schedule development.
