Interconnection of power grids in South Asia

In the South Asia, most populous country India is also having the highest installed capacity for power generation. At present (as on December 31, 2002) it is about 107,000 MW and meets a peak load of about 70,000 MW with annual energy generation figure of about 550 Billion Units.
