This paper illustrates the design of narrowband random waveforms, based upon the synthesis ofrntheir wideband prototypes. Both Gaussian and non-Gaussian noise waveforms are employed in thernsynthesis of the prototypes. The decomposition of a broadband wave into a set of narrowband wavesrnapproximated by random pulse trains generates the prototype. Its scaling is performed by the stretchingrnof the duration of the pulse trains prior to their potential shaping by weighting functions. Extensiverngraphics supported by error evaluation proves the viability of the concept.
