摘要

We consider the multiphoton ionization of a one-active electron system exposed to an intense low-frequency laser pulse. We describe a model that is aimed at studying the role of the Coulomb potential in a regime where tunneling ionization is assumed to be the dominant ionization mechanism. In particular, we hope to explain why the low energy part of the above-threshold ionization spectrum is not well reproduced by the Keldysh-typc theories.
