Abstract: pe of this study is to obtain realisticcomparisons between numerical calculations and laserDoppler velocimetry measurements of the axial velocityprofiles for a large number of strained laminarpremixed propane-air double flames. Stationaryconservation equations for strained flames have beenderived including one-parameter (strain rate) andtwo-parameter (radial pressure gradient and flowdivergence) formulations. The experimental studyconsists in measuring the axial velocity across theflame by means of LDV system for stoichiometric, lean,rich and near extinction limit flames.!30
