The theoretical developments shown in this paper allow EFEM to be extended to the analysis of systems of non-planar plates. This required the development of the appropriate joint coupling matrices. The resulting EFEM was demonstrated for a system of two plates joined at 90° and compared to an SEA model of the same system. The two methods were shown to predict the same solutions for lightly damped systems with distributed forcing. When the damping was increased or the power input changed to a point source the two predictions diverged.
