Passive and Active Noise Control of a Low Power Diesel Generator

This article is about the noise isolation of an electrical generator. To this end, passive and active isolation techniques have been developed. For the medium and high frequencies an enclosure using passive techniques has been made. For the noise control at low frequencies, an active noise control system has been built into one of the ventilation ducts of the machine. For this system, the electrical signal provided by the alternator is used as an acoustic reference for the control system.
