Mechanical Properties of Open Cell 6063 Aluminum Alloy Foams

摘要

Tensile and compressive properties of the open cell 6063 aluminum alloy foam were investigated. Density of test specimens were about 0.13g/cm~3～0.20g/cm~3 made by plaster molding process. Plate attached specimens were also made for gripping the specimen necessary in tensile test, which were cast as one body with the foam. Compressive and tensile test were carried out with 10PPI specimens.
