Immersive Virtual Product Development

摘要

Immersive virtual product development is a new design, developing and evaluation method ofrnintegrated product and processing tragedies, which using VR, multi-discipline simulation and scientificrnvisualization technologies. Users may have the experiences of being part of a cyberspace environment with thernability to navigate and manipulate objects which have properties and behaviors that correspond to those of the realrnworld objects. We present a framework and prototype system of an immerse VPD (IVPD) which enables users tornnavigate and interact with 3D peripherals with the display system. Participants may passively view the virtualrnworld revolving around them while others control navigation and simulations, and may interact with otherrnmembers such as pass an object from one embodied manikin to another.
