摘要

The objective of this paper is a fluid saturated capillary-porous material under drying process. The aim of this paper is to present the theoretical model enabling numerical calculation of the drying induced stresses, and the acoustic emission method (AE) as an experimental method for monitoring on line the material destruction. It is shown that the period of drying in which the drying induced stresses reach their maximum is accompanied by an enhanced emission of acoustic signals. These phenomena are illustrated on the example of a cylindrically shaped kaolin sample exposed to convective drying.
