摘要

The phase velocity and group velocity are the most important propagation properties of seismic waves and providing some useful messages for normal moveout velocity of anisotropic media. However, because of the complicacy of phase velocity solutions for TTI media, it is difficult to obtain the group velocity. At present, the research of the phase velocity and group velocity for TTI media has been addressed only in 2-D case (Chongtao Hao,et.al,2005) .In this paper, we applied a new method in obtaining phase velocity and group velocity for 3-D TTI media, which is much simpler than others. And we derived 3-D phase velocity and group velocity of TTI media through 2-D phase velocity and group velocity of TI media, using the axis-symmetry and coordinate rotation theory. The characters of the phase velocity and group velocity of 3-D TTI media are analyzed in our work.
