Rapid Prototyping of mobile Applications

Mobile Network Operators (MNO) und Service Provider are forced to move form today's voice-centric wireless networks to 3G broadband data networks with superior data services. But significant market uncertainty remain and no clear business models have been developed for marketing, selling and delivering 3G services. Through rapid innovations in the possibility system of mobile technologies such as location enabling technology, multimedia capacity of end devices and higher data transfer rates, a whole range of new services could be developed. Yet it is unclear which mobile applications are expected and needed by future users and all efforts to define and develop the 'killer-application' with traditional processes in the lab failed. The industry is slowly recognizing the user as a source of information and innovation of new services. Therefore the development process for mobile applications has to be designed and adapted to make use of this source.
