Coarse aggregates have a very important influence on the skeleton of asphalt mixture. In this paper, the SGC compaction curve is applied to evaluate the skeleton stability of coarse aggregates. In order to research the skeleton stability of coarse aggregates with 19mm nominal maximum size, four grade aggregates, such as 16mm, 13.2mm, 9.5mm and 4.75mm, are selected, and the SGC compaction tests are conducted by a uniform experiment design. The SGC compaction curves of coarse aggregate composed with the four grade aggregates, and then the influences of different aggregate size are studied. It is indicated that aggregates sized in 19- 16mm and 16-13.2mm have little effect on skeleton stability;aggregates sized inl3.2-9.5mm have a certain effect because of the interference effect;aggregates sized in9.5-4.75mm have a great effect, and the higher content, the more stable skeleton.
