摘要

In this paper, the manufacture technique of alumina ceramic foams used for filtering and purifying liquid aluminum or aluminum alloys was studied. The effect of polymer foam preparation, prescription, impregnation and fire technique on properties of specimens have been discussed. The high alumina ceramic foams that are used for filtration and purification of liquid aluminum were prepared with mullite, feldspar and alumina by the reticulated polyurethane foam impregnation process and were fired at1200℃.
