The Natural Draught Cooling Tower - competitive or old-fashioned?

Observing the international recooling business scene we notice that the Natural Draught Cooling Tower concept has lost the attractiveness for new power plants. The philosophy of the contractors is mainly to achieve a short duration between conceptual design and ready for operation. Furthermore, the emphasis is concentrated on low investment, thus favouring mechanical draft multi-cell type cooling towers, made from timber or fiberglass. An economic evaluation as well as an outlook on further ranges of application proves that the Natural Draught Cooling Tower is still attractive and competitive.
