摘要

Identifying a varying inter-phase boundary position of a two phase flow with electrical impedance tomography (EIT) for process control applications is vital for both understanding the mechanisms of the multiphase flow and/or performing the appropriate control actions to achieve desired goals. This paper presents a simulation of using EIT instrumentation technique to study an electrically contrast two-phase flow flowing through a closed pipe. A dynamic mesh is introduced in image reconstruction aiming to adapt the tomogram to the shape of inter-phase boundary thereby achieving a high-level accuracy in measurement. The technique is useful for applications having a sharp interface formation such as oil/water, air/water, air/oil two phase flows.
