Based on experiments for strength and deformation under uniaxial compression, the influences of PVA fiber content by volume, fly ash and silica fume content on compression properties of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cement Composite (HPFRCC) are studied. The compressive strength, elasticity modulus, Poisson's ratio, as well as compressive stress-strain curves are obtained. The test results reveal that compressive strength of HPFRCC improves with increase of PVA content by volume, but the increase is minor and fly ash content has important influence on the compressive strength. The test results also show that PVA fiber and fly ash can greatly improve compressive toughness of HPFRCC, but silica fume leads to less ductile behavior. According to the test results, the present paper establishes formula of cubic compressive strength with axial compressive strength and elasticity modulus respectively. Using electron microscope, the microstructure of HPFRCC is also studied.
