An Expression of Personal Knowledge and Its Conversion

Knowledge in knowledge theory and knowledge management has been defined by many researchers in different viewpoints. Each definition of knowledge given by different academic researchers was based on their convenience of dealing with the problems they faced and shown their different understanding to knowledge. In the paper, first, the definitions of knowledge are briefly reviewed and the authors' understanding to knowledge is described. Then, other classifications of knowledge made by prior academic researchers are summarized and a new classification of personal knowledge and organizational knowledge through introducing cybernetics terms is made. Third, based on the new classification of knowledge, dynamic equations of expressing the dynamic processes of personal knowledge transformation are introduced, which aims at shedding light on understanding the essence of knowledge creation. At last, according to the characteristics of the systems methods and the essence processes of knowledge transfer, some systems methods and other approaches are suggested for managing the processes of knowledge conversion.
