摘要

Fiber reinforced polymer is a modern composite material with characteristics of high tensile strength, light weight, strong resistance to corrosion and fatigue loadings. It has widely prospect in strengthening concrete bridge structures with external prestressing. The structure and construction method of strengthening concrete bridge structures with CFRP external prestressing differ greatly from structures with bonded or unbonded tendons and strengthened structures with prestressing reinforcing steel bars, therefore generate the difference in ultimate state design or prestressing loss. The method of ultimate state design and prestressing loss calculation are discussed and applicable formulate is suggested with regard to the characteristic of CFRP external prestressing.
