摘要

The convection heat transfer on the surface of a rotating horizontal circular cylinder in a slow-wind rectangular tunnel has been investigated experimentally. The study focuses on Reynolds Number in the range between 0~380. IR camera was used to measure the surface temperature of the cylinder. Experimental devices and experimental conditions are described in detail, and then experimental methods and results are given. On the base of the experimental results and corresponding theoretical analysis, the heat transfer characteristics are correlated to Re number. Under the experimental condition, heat transfer is worst when Re number is 270. Nu number is decreasing rapidly with the increasing of Re number below 270, and increasing slowly with Re over 270. Furthermore, these experimental results are also predicted well by field synergy theory.
