摘要

We report here the reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatographic and the capillary zone electrophoretic separation of two water-soluble C_(60) derivatives of biological importance. The first one is an octadeca-acid dendritic methano[60]fullerene mono-adduct, which has been shown to be active against HIV-1 in vitro and the second one is the regio-isomer eee of a tris-dicarboxy-methanofullerene, C_(60)[C(COOH)_2]_3, which exhibits a powerful neuro-protective activity. The methods described are able to control the quality of the synthesis and to purify efficiently these water-soluble fullerene derivatives.
