Lignocellulolytic enzyme profiles produced by white rot basidiomycetous fungi Pleurotus sajor-caju, Cyathus stercoreus, Cerporiopsis subvermispora and Panus conchatus were studied during solid state fermentation (SSF) of rice straw. The results showed that the four fungi only secreted laccases and manganese peroxidases (MnPs) but not lignin peroxidase (LiP) during SSF. Additionally, low CMCases and avicelases were detected for the four fungi during the whole fermentation, which further confirms that the fungi have the abilities of selective delignification of lignocellulose. Of the four fungi, P. conchatus secreted the highest xylanase activity during SSF.
