摘要

In this paper, the on-machine measuring and monitoring method of the wheel working surface topography are developed using an optical displacement sensor and the dulling behavior of the surface is monitored with this method on a CNC surface grinding machine. As a result, it is made clear that the distinctive pattern comes out in the relative frequency distribution of the profile curve of the working surface with the progress of dulling, which is useful to monitor the dulling behavior and the wheel life.
