The salt industry is developing rapidly in China, the salt production capacity reached 28,210,600 tons in 1994 with the development of science and technology and the adeption of new process,new equipment and new materials in our vacuum salt industry,the technical and economic specifications of our vacuum salt production have being uqgraded constantly. However, the downstream process section--packing ins our vacuum salt productio-nis still at the level of manual operation which is very backward. The packing and packing machines for salt are very important aspect which can reflect the technical level in salt industry. At present,the advanced vacuum salt production processes coexit with the backward packing machines in China,which are not balanced in the level. Also,they lag far behind the foreign advanced packing machines for vacuum salt. Therefore,it is very imperative for us to reform our vacuum salt packing machinery.
