Numerous disposable product-quality improvements and product cost reductions are directlyrnattributable to advancements in hot melt adhesive spray technologies. Increased precision inrnadhesive placement has improved features and aesthetics, while more efficient adhesive use hasrnenabled manufacturers to use thinner, lower cost substrates with improved softness and drape.rnElasticized structures play an important role in numerous nonwovens disposable products on thernmarket today. Recent developments in adhesive application technology demonstrate increasedrnefficiency, improved performance and reduced variability in their creation. This paper willrnsurvey the various processes employed in the creation of these structures, and compare thesernmethods with respect to adhesive usage efficiency, structure performance, process robustnessrnand intermittent capability.
