TURBOCHARGING MARINE DIESEL ENGINES

摘要

Turbocharged diesel engines are today the major prime movers for commercial vessels. Continuous improvement and new development of these engines require further and new development of the turbocharger. This paper explains the present and future turbochargers designed and manufactured by ABB for diesel engines rated from 500 kW up to the highest outputs. The main focus is given to marine applications.
