摘要

How to improve machining precision and surface quality of thin-walled aluminum alloy cylinder parts is a research emphasis in the field of precision manufacture. The paper lays emphasis on the change of machining method. The application of ultrasonic machining (USM) to thin-walled cylinder parts was introduced. Through contrast experiments of conventional and ultrasonic cutting, USM performances of thin-walled aluminum alloy cylinder parts were clarified. Experimental results show that USM can improve machining precision and reduce surface roughness effectively, which is a better machining method suitable for thin-walled aluminum alloy cylinder parts. Finally, cutting parameters in USM were optimized according to the results of orthogonal experiments.
