1. The cellulolytic enzyme applied for straw degumming allows for the obtaining of delicate fiber, characterized by a soft handle, 3.7 tex thinness, and 18.65% of long fiber efficiency. 2. Application of osmotic degumming of flax straw allows for obtaining fiber characterized by the following properties: good thinness, no smell, strong, soft, and good hygroscopicity. 3. The results of chemical analyses performed on the three fibrous flax cultivars (Nike, Artemida and Elisa) were similar, which means that the method introduces no changes in natural properties of fibers. The quality evaluation of straw as well as efficiency and metrological analysis of fiber show good correlation between obtained fiber and applied initial raw material for all tested flax cultivars. 4. Considerable increase in bending strength of the boards was achieved by the activation of technical lignins with the preparation Laccase 1, whereas the performance of the preparation Laccase 2 was lower, particularly in the case of flax shives. 5. Clear advantage of the process of manufacturing natural binding agents, in comparison with synthetic resins, is the absence of emission of harmful substances from the boards, for both production site and their prolonged use.
