The paper describes the results of the development, numerical simulation and testing of the aluminum Axial Grooved Heat Pipes (AGHP) charged by propylene and purposed for operation at temperature range from plus 50℃ to minus 130℃. AGHP are made from 2 flange extrusion aluminum alloy AD31 (6063) profile with diameter of 12.5 mm and with Ω-shape grooves. At the operation temperature range heat pipes shall transfer at least 5W power with temperature difference no more than 5℃. Mathematical model and results of AGHP parameters computation are presented. Significant importance of dynamical reciprocal effect of vapor-liquid counter flows is shown. Three AGHP samples have been passed qualification tests including investigation of the performances within the temperature range from minus 130℃ to plus 50℃, thermocycling and 800 hour ageing effect on AGHP parameters and strength parameters of heat pipes. The paper presents the qualification test results and acceptance tests data of operational AGHP.
