This paper presents the results of a round-robin test program on cryogenic in-terlaminar shear strength of G-10CR glass-cloth/epoxy laminates. This program was organized under the auspices of the Technical Working Area 17 (TWA17) on Cryogenic Structural Materials of the Versailles Project on Advanced Materials and Standards (VAMAS), and performed to investigate the applicability of ASTM Standards D 3846-94 and D 2344-84 to woven fabric composite laminates at cryogenic temperatures. Specifically, two standard test specimen geometries (the double-notch shear specimen, and the short-beam shear specimen) were prepared. A total five laboratories in four different countries participated in this testing program. Each laboratory tested both specimens at cryogenic temperatures. A three-dimensional finite element analysis was also utilized to conduct a detailed study of the stress distributions within the specimens.
