The emergence of various software development methodologies raises the need to evaluate and compare their efficiencies because proper software process that chose according to the requirement and character of project will help you a lot. We had developed the same software SOTTC (the system of the traffic controller) with three group developers. The first group used a process based on XP (eXtreme Programming), and the second group used RUP (Rational Unified Process) while the third group used CP (Cleanroom Process). Experimental result, tend to indicate that XP programmers produce higher quality code because they passed approximately 13% more functional black-box test cases than the RUP's and 11% more than CP's. However, the XP programmers took approximately 15% more time than RUP's and 17% than CP's. Statistical analysis of the results showed that a moderate statistical correlation existed between time spent and the resulting quality. Hence this intuitive observation supports the perception that XP has the potential for increasing the level of unit testing in the software industry.
