摘要

A climber algorithm is presented for multi-component peak finding in discrete three-dimensional (3D) data. This algorithm can find the peaks efficiently by imitating the hill-climbers and select the peaks of interest accurately according to their characteristics, such as their height, base area and volume. Its application to acoustic well-logging is proposed and the field experimental results are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented algorithm.
