People tend to come up to a point where they ponder about what to do in the future. Although there are various career planners available to help narrowing the suitable job scope, but the popularity and reliability has deteriorates over time. A valid reason behind this is due to false responses from written and verbal career assessment. Thus, personal career planner (PCP) via brain-computer interface (BCI) proposed in this paper to complete the career assessment through the analysis of instant brainwave response corresponds to the prompted questions. Those excitement levels are retrieved by using Emotiv neuroheadgear and are distributed evenly to the respective questionnaires. The questionnaire is designed based on Dr. Holland career theory - The Holland Codes. The system will then classified accordingly and upshot the recommended career opportunities. This paper includes experiments to prove that brainwaves can response instantaneously to external stimuli, which are the major concerns in the proposed system. Lastly, the system is tested together with written assessment. The proposed PCP via BCI achieves the reliability of 87.5%.
