Virtual Reality as Tool for Supporting Safety Management Decisions

In the field of safety management VR can be of a great help both when safety-critical decisions has to be made, i.e., when substantial changes on the productive process, the workforce composition, and the organisational set-up, has to be made, and when the impact on safety of even small decisions, which implications are not so evident, is to be highlighted. Managers with the support of VR can visibly have access to the knowledge and the practices of safety analysts and operators simply by standing outside the VE under reproduction. As a consequence of that time and costs for making realistic safety analyses would be reduced and the efficiency in safety production sensibly enhanced.
