This paper analyses the effectiveness of safety presentation type warning providedrnfrom safe driving support system such as AHS (Advanced cruise-assist highway systems)basedrnon a human error model.Warning systems are divided broadly into two categories:fault-warningrntype and safety-presentation type.The former notifies a driver of presence of hazards and thernlatter informs absence of hazards.This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages ofrntwo types and shows a comparative study.The study is performed by estimating out breakingrnprobability of fail dangerous failures.It clarifies that safety-presentation type is superior tornfault-warning type on the application like AHS.Driver error probabilities are estimated from arnquantitative human error model called Maximum Acceptable Risk Model.The model formulatesrnthe concept of risk homeostasis theory.
