Tooth Profile Design of Spur Gear Shaping Cutter with High-precision

摘要

A kind of flank helicoid of shaping cutter is solved in this paper. The projection profile of its side-edge on transverse plane is involute or designed curve, so it will not produce forming error because of an increase in tool back rake of shaping cutter and tool back clearance of top-edge. Grinding-wheel profile designing is also discussed. The processing precision of large-module shaping cutter can be improved.
