Prevention of Green Part Cracks by the Dorst Control System

For the production of high quality, crack free P/M parts flexibility within the compacting press cycle is essential. Programming of tooling motion sequence, compacting pressure and tooling travel significantly contributes to this flexibility. The Dorst Control System for closed loop controlled CNC hydraulic presses offers many options to avoid deflection cracks, compaction cracks or ejection cracks. The Dorst Control System may be used as a tool for preload control, exact powder transfer, closed loop controlled compaction and deflection compensation.
