摘要

Strong 1.54 μm photoluminescence response retaining its sharp pronounced features at room temperature has been obtained from the erbium doped Fe_2O_3 xerogels fabricated on porous anodic alumina films. The luminescence behavior and availability of these structures for future photonics applications are discussed.
