The expansion of two-electron temperature plasma with truncated hot electron distribution was investigated with a PIC simulation experiment. Two double layer potential structures were found to develop during the expansion. It was observed that the width and the amplitude of the faster one at the ion front was decreasing with time This led to a saturation of the ion front velocity.
