摘要

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata is a novel nanotechnology that promises low-power, extremely dense and high speed structures for construction of logical circuits at a nano-scale. Moreover, Multiplexers and Demultiplexers (MUX-DEMUX) are the useful components for the design of many important logic circuits. This paper proposes the novel and efficient designs of modular MUX and DEMUX in the QCA. The proposed MUX-DEMUX has been compared to few recent designs in terms of area, speed and complexity. Comparison results illustrate significant improvements in the proposed designs over the traditional approaches. Also, simulation proves that the proposed MUX-DEMUX designs have less complexity as compared to the reported designs. The simulations have been carried out using the QCA Designer, a layout and simulation tool for QCA.
