Business process reengineering will modify or eliminate component processes, so it is critical to measure the value the processes produce, otherwise it will be impossible to know whether the business process reengineering effort has added value. Traditional financial approaches cannot fit this demand. Kolomogorov's complexity theory is here. It is an objective approach to measure value added. Having defined ROP, V and V_m, we can get objective reflect of value added by component processes. We need them to decide which processes are really adding value. Until we measure value creation throughout all company processes, we will make the process adjustments necessary to ensure successful value-added business process reengineering.
