摘要

In recent years, a drastic improvement in the dimensional precision (= reduction in production costs) has been achieved in the final rolling stage of seamless tube production using the CARTA~(~R) / Technology System and its main control functions CEC, WTCA and WTCL. Further modules such as e.g. the planning optimisation and an expansion of the system increase the benefit for the production shop. In order to optimise the eccentricity, the technology system is now also employed in the piercing stage. The basis for this is the new LASUS (Laser Ultra Sonic) measuring system which permits continuous quality control in the whole seamless tube production process. Use of the present-day information technology also creates the optimum preconditions for system-related and technological services.
