Online multilingual computing and Portuguese-Chinese MT

摘要

The issue of multilingual support in operating systems and applications has appeared and reappeared under many different headings, whatever their names are, they are actually trying to tackle the same set of porblems, though in different ways: to support computing environments that handle more than one natural languages. In this paper we reminisce the relationship vicissitude of computing platform and show how gradually the data, operating system and system programming language are severed. We prove why multilingual computing is viable. In this proof, two computing-free theorems are broached. At the same time, we introduce our online domain-based Portuguese-Chinese machine transltion system(online DBMT) to corroborate our proof.
